Hub Conference 2022

 

In 2022, we are again runnng a Hub Conference. It was great to see lots of people making great connections in their local area through the hub networks last year. This year we are once again encouraging library staff to get together in local area hubs. The program is designed for groups to connect in together, with opportunities for face-to-face discussion over meal times. Individuals are also able to join the conference if they are not able to connect in with a hub.

Hub Conference 2022 is free to join the online sessions. Local area hubs might charge a small fee to cover hosting costs.

Usual Annual Conference

Each year Library staff from Christian Schools across Australia come together for three days of professional development which always proves to be both inspiring and challenging.  The conference provides an opportunity for Teacher Librarians, Library Technicians and other library staff to share ideas, learn from experts, network and fellowship.  The program varies each year but often includes sessions by authors, library professionals, bookshop experts and technology experts.  There is always an inspirational keynote speaker and a trade display, with 12-14 businesses represented.

Conference is held across three days in May each year and always starts on a Monday. However we have a special program for those Interstate visitors who need to arrive on the Sunday.  We provide a complimentary late morning shuttle from the airport and organise an outing and lunch. A shuttle to the domestic airport is also provided on the Wednesday afternoon.

Conference is held at St Joseph’s Centre in Baulkham Hills. This is an excellent venue which accommodates delegates in single or double ensuite rooms. All meals are catered for. However, so that we can give delegates the freedom to choose arrangements that suit their needs, accommodation and meals are paid directly to St Josephs, in a separate bill to the conference fee.
